PSA campaign helps redefine
AIDS Walk New York

At the onset of the pandemic, AIDS Walk New York, one of the country's largest and most successful fundraising walks, had to go virtual. I played a major role in developing, writing, and producing the PSA campaign that let New Yorkers know that AIDS Walk was still happening, and that their support was especially critical at this time of uncertainty. The following aired on major cable and broadcast networks in the region:

-Featuring Bebe Neuwirth, highlighting important services during the pandemic

-"Zoom Call" letting viewers know how the virtual event works

-Talent announcement: Bette Midler, Vanessa Williams, Queer Eye stars, and more.

All spots created in collaboration with Director/Producer Varda Hardy and AIDS Walk New York.

Digital campaign and livestream event to encourage restaurant owners to switch to reusable foodware

For this campaign produced by Upstream and funded by the San Francisco Department of the Environment, our mission was to encourage restaurant owners to switch to reusable dishes and packaging by demonstrating the many concrete benefits for their customers, the planet, and their own bottom lines.

I conceptualized the messaging and design for a social media toolkit, landing page, and informational e-brochure containing the core messages, and served as the primary copywriter.

I also co-produced the cornerstone of the campaign, a livestream featuring local restaurant owners who had themselves switched to reusable foodware which attracted hundreds of viewers and received overwhelmingly positive feedback.

An ad campaign illustrates how small cities have big problems with systemic racism

In response to an afternoon of brutal police violence in Santa Monica during peaceful George Floyd protests that swept the nation, a local neighborhood activist group sprung into action to hold its elected and appointed city officials accountable. I served as a primary creative partner, copywriter, and editor on a series of ads placed in the Los Angeles Times, Santa Monica Daily Press, and several online publications.
